Berlin's cleaning register splits every street into classes, and that class decides how wide a path you have to clear in front of your own door. Find your street, then tap the stretch you live on.

What the duty is, on every one of those stretches

Clear the snow as soon as the snowfall stops, and again during a long one. If it is still falling after 20:00, or starts later, the path has to be clear by 07:00, or 09:00 on a Sunday or a public holiday.
Grit with sand, grit or granulate. Salt and every other de-icer are banned for residents in Berlin, with narrow exceptions for BSR itself.
In a hard frost, gritting alone is not enough: break the ice up, lift it off, then grit.
Clear the path to your bins to one bin's width by 06:00, or the collection can be missed.
You can pay someone to do it, but the responsibility stays with you, along with a duty to check it was done.
The fine goes up to 10,000 euros, and if somebody falls there is a compensation claim behind it.
