An estimate, not a decision: only your district's Wohnungsamt decides. It applies the 2026 rules (WoGG §19 and Annexes 1 to 3, Berlin rent level IV, heating and climate components), the €1,230 employee allowance per earner and the flat 10% deductions. Each ticked box takes 10% off the income, as the law does; on ALG I nothing is paid, so untick all three, and on a state pension usually keep only health insurance. Not eligible: households on Grundsicherungsgeld or Grundsicherung im Alter, and most students with a BAföG claim.
